About this deal

I recently bought 240hz aw2518hf for 230 used and i noticed its slightly more blurry than my bros 144hz benq, but since i dont play fps i dont really care. The colors on this one are 3-4 times better and perceived lower input lag. The pixel response time speed of 1ms GtG eliminates visible trailing behind fast-moving objects, but such fast response time is nowadays available on IPS panel displays as well. If you've watched the part of my video, which I recommended you to watch, you could see what changing overdrive gain looks like.

Thanks for the reply. What about gpu scaling or display scaling, I read on another post that gpu scaling is more consistent nowadays that it is mostly flawless? Does the rx580 fall into this category or since the aw2518hf is a pretty good monitor, the display scaling would have less input lag? From my own in game feeling, the display scaling feels faster/smoother? and 6-bit+FRC panels: On CRU, changing the maximum color depth from 8 bpc to 6 bpc could help a lot with ghosting issues. The difference in color depth is barely noticeable. Thought some might find this helpful; I went through and calibrated my AW2518HF with DisplayCal to the BT.1886 gamma standard it's using. So, are you an avid gamer who is looking at future-proofing your gaming monitor ? The Alienware 25 AW2518HF gaming monitor is the best option for you. It sports a 1920 x 1080 resolution and many other gaming features. – Alienware 25 AW2518HF Technical SpecificationsThe modest weight and size of this product are most suitable for e-sports gamers. They cannot carry a massive display on the road. For other monitors that doesn't have adjustable overdrive presets (not all monitors do in non-VRR mode -- very hairpullingly annoying when I come across monitors like that. Zero overdrive adjustments...) Anyway when I put it on normal overdrive it has more input lag and so much motion blur I get headache. You're not increasing input lag (which you seem to confuse with response time) by using a lower pixel overdrive setting, and vice-versa, you're not decreasing it, by using the preset, which they misleadingly labeled "super fast". Dell’s well-known for its premium image quality, and the image straight out of the box didn’t disappoint.

There are bound to be many wires and cables which you can hide behind the stand to keep things tidy. That way, you won’t have to worry about the wires or untidy desk space.

The TN panels sport one of the fastest response times for the minimum motion blur. The 1080p resolutions make it easier to let the PC system reach a higher frame. The Twisted Nematic or TN technology is not known for its representation of colors. It offers a 95% AdobeRGB and 96% of the sRGB Gamut range. These are standard numbers for the TN technology but not impressive.

Ergonomic functionalities include 130mm height adjustment, 90-degree pivot, 20-degree swivel to the left and right, -5, 25-degree tilt, and 100 x 100 VESA mount compatibility. The screen is covered with ananti-glare matte(3H) coating. You're now using the VRR overdrive presets, which the manufacturer apparently set up to be different (lower) than non-VRR (regular) presets.Forum Rules wrote: 1. Rule #1: Be Nice. This is published forum rule #1. Even To Newbies & People You Disagree With! The Dell Alienware AW2518HF is a 24.5″ 1080p 240Hz 1ms gaming monitor with AMD FreeSync support, ensuring smooth performance for fast-paced competitive gaming. Image Quality low contrast and high brightness (for better response times), maybe contrast 42/68 and brightness 99/75 - you might not like it Monitor saturation setting changes panel colors internally, digital vibrance is software based. But It can be hard to differentiate the two. dark stabilizer is badly implemented on that monitor so I never used it - when its enabled it introduces some type of a bad "sharpness/contrast" effect around edges of the icons, its especially visible on win 10 taskbar
